It’s the early 14th century in Eastern Europe .  A warrior named Gediminas, has ascended to the role of Grand Duke of Lithuania.  Legend has it that after a hunting trip he had become tired and laid down to rest.  While asleep he had a dream of an iron clad wolf howling as loudly as a thousand wolves.  After he awoke from the dream he consulted a pagan priest about the meaning of his vision.  The priest told Gediminas the iron wolf represented a castle and a grand city that were to be built.  That castle and city are what would become the capital of Lithuania, Vilnius.

   Because of our Lithuanian ancestry, the legend of the iron wolf has been part of our heritage.  And just as Gediminas had a dream of building a great castle and city we too had a dream of building our family brewery, Iron Wolf Brewing.
